Der Wolfsbarsch ist ein listiger Raubfisch und zeigt besondere Verhaltensweisen, er ist sch\u00fcchtern und furchtlos zugleich. Bekannt und gesch\u00e4tzt ist er seit dem Altertum, es war Aristoteles, der ihm wegen seiner Schnelligkeit und seinem Jagdinstinkt den Namen \u201eSeewolf\u201c gab.<\/p>\n

Obwohl es eine betr\u00e4chtliche Anzahl von Wolfsbarschgattungen gibt, ist am meisten gesch\u00e4tzte und angesehenste der europ\u00e4ische Wolfsbarsch (Dicentrarchus labrax). Er ist von mittlerer Gr\u00f6\u00dfe, hat einen l\u00e4nglichen K\u00f6rper, gro\u00dfe und feste Schuppen und einen leicht zugespitzten Kopf, wobei der Unterkiefer etwas l\u00e4nger als der Oberkiefer ist.<\/p>\n

Er kann bis zu 90 cm lang werden und hat ein mittleres Gewicht von 7 kg. Er ern\u00e4hrt sich von Fischen, und anderen Meerestieren, wie Krustentiere, Seeigel, Schalentiere usw. und zieht es vor in offenen, bewegten und tiefen Gew\u00e4ssern zu leben.<\/p>\n

Gew\u00f6hnlich ist er an der Westk\u00fcste des Atlantiks anzutreffen, von hoch im Norden vor Norwegen bis im tief im S\u00fcden an den K\u00fcsten Senegals, einschlie\u00dflich der Kanarischen Inseln. Obwohl er manchmal auch in andere Gew\u00e4sser wandert, wie zum Beispiel ins Mittelmeer, ist der Wolfsbarsch eine typische Gattung des atlantischen Ozeans.<\/p>\n

Die Wildwolfsbarsch-Fischerei verzeichnet in Europa in den letzten Jahren starke R\u00fcckg\u00e4nge. Es wurden eine Reihe von Ma\u00dfnahmen eingeleitet, je nach Region wurden Schonzeiten, Fangquoten oder auch Mindestgr\u00f6\u00dfen festgelegt. Dies hat aber leider nicht die Verringerung der Populationen aufhalten k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Ein Aquanaria-Wolfsbarsch braucht bis zu 4 Jahren, bis er ein Gewicht von 2 kg erreicht; das ist etwa die H\u00e4lfte der Zeit, die ein Wildwolfsbarsch daf\u00fcr ben\u00f6tigt. Deswegen k\u00f6nnen Kopf und Flossen, die etwas langsamer wachsen, etwas kleiner sein.<\/p>\n

In unseren Aufzuchtanlagen haben wir eine sehr geringe Dichte f\u00fcr die Zucht: 98% ist Wasser, 2% Fisch. Au\u00dferdem wird nur nachts gefangen, um Stress zu verringern.<\/p>\n

Wir sind GLOBAL GAP zertifiziert: Wir k\u00fcmmern uns um das Tierwohl und arbeiten umweltfreundlich.<\/p>\n

Das Futter, das wir verwenden, ist aus anderem, ganzem Fisch hergestellt, und kommt von Sorten, die f\u00fcr den menschlichen Genuss nicht geeignet sind und aus nachhaltiger Fischerei stammen. Das Ganze wird von Marine Trust \u00fcberwacht und zertifiziert. Wir erg\u00e4nzen die Kost mit Gem\u00fcse, wie z.B.
