Aquanaria once again attended the Sirha2023 fair , which held its 21st edition in Lyon between the 19 and 23 January. On this occasion, for the first time we decided to strengthen our presence at this international fair with our own stand, which welcomed many customers, distributors and foodies interested in our product.
Aquanaria is a pioneering company in Spain in the cultivation of large sea bass for the culinary sector. We are currently on the menu at the best restaurants in the world, in 24 countries. Our sea bass are fished to order at night, packaged at dawn and sent out by air in the early morning. By doing this, we guarantee that they arrive fresh anywhere in the world.
SIRHA is an internationally renowned a food festival, aimed at professionals in the restaurant sector. The event, in which gastronomy and gourmet products play an important role, is held every two years in Lyon. This is its 21st edition, and is marked by an increase in public attendance in comparison with the previous edition, which was still affected by the consequences of the pandemic. As on previous occasions, it served as a showcase for new trends and products in the sector as well as a meeting place for exhibitors and visitors. As well as boasting an extensive exhibition area with more than 2000 exhibitors, several cookery competitions were also held, both nationally and internationally.
At Sirha fair the final of the Bocuse d’Or, one of the most prestigious cookery competitions in the world was held. The competition was created by celebrity chef Paul Bocuse, in 1987 in Lyon, during the fair which would be the predecessor to the current Sirha. Since then, this gastronomic event serves as a sample of new trends to come in cuisine. As such, it is the backdrop on which new generations of chefs can demonstrate their skills to the world.
LEADING ROLE OF THE AQUANARIA STAND AT SIRHA 2023
Aquanaria is already a regular participant in the Sirha fair. For the first time this year we had our own stand. This allowed us to let our product to play a leading role and create a more welcoming area to greet our visitors. In addition, the stand’s design, which included our now iconic “hanging neon fish”, caught the attention of many attendees at the fair and was the subject of many photographs.
The number of visitors to the stand was intense during the five days of the fair. Our sushi chef, Luis Bandera, prepared samples of ceviche, nigiri and sashimi for the numerous international visitors to experience the extraordinary qualities of our sea bass. And, from the impressions they gave us they were very pleasantly surprised.
Aquanaria is a company with a clear international vocation. With our aim of expansion, we are working to broaden, strengthen and consolidate our presence in other markets . Food fairs such as Sirha provide an excellent showcase for chefs and restaurants to discover and sample our product. For this reason we will continue to be present at this type of event outside of Spain.
